All about Suzuki Motorcycles
Suzuki Motor Company was founded by Michio Suzuki. He had a very successful looming business when he decided to invest in the concept of motorcycle manufacturing in 1920. Suzuki didn’t take the motorcycle world by storm, in stead it was a slow and steady rise to success. There were a variety of motorcycle models that had moderate success. People began to take notice of the Suzuki line of motorcycles after their Diamond Free model won the Mount Fuji Hill Climb in 1953.
In June of 1954, Suzuki implemented their trademark ‘S’ logo that is still used today. They also put their years of observing the motorcycle industry to good use. 1962 saw them as the winner of the Grand Prix World Championship. Suzuki decided to begin selling its motorcycles in the United States in 1963. They have come a long way since that first introduction. Consumers quickly took to the models, finding them to be valuable and reliable.
Suzuki introduced the X-6 Hustler in 1966, becoming their first street legal performance bike. At the time, it was also the fastest 250CC on the market. They followed the success of it with a 500CC model called The Titan. In 1969 Suzuki took the world by surprise when it introduced the GT750. This was a two stroke motorcycle that could reach a speed of 110 miles per hour. It was able to accelerate from zero to sixty in only five seconds. Since this motorcycle was so well received, Suzuki decided to make a larger bike with the same type of power. The RG500 became the most successful racing bike of that era.
Suzuki continued to dominate the motocross racing circuit in the 1970′s, winning the World Motocross Championship in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, and 1976. Due to tighter emission regulations, Suzuki had some stumbling blocks in 1976. However, they were successfully able to redesign their four stroke models to meet these regulations. They models also sold very well.
Suzuki again makes racing history with the introduction of the XN85 in 1982. This was a turbo charged motorcycle that won many high profile races. The first American to win the World Motocross Championship did so in 1982 on this bike. In 1986 they offered the GSX-R, also a turbo charged racer bike. What made it so original was the aluminium frame. This made it the lightest motorcycle in its class.
In addition to selling large quantities of racing bikes, Suzuki has done well in the cruiser market as well. The Boulevard model comes in many different sizes to meet the needs of the consumer. This is a very sporty looking model built to look great as well as to offer comfort. The five speed transmission allows the operator of the vehicle to remain comfortable regardless of the riding terrain.
The body of the Boulevard model allows for a smooth ride regardless of the speed at which you are travelling. This model is one of the top selling cruisers out there as well as the best price with the 2007 models priced around ,000. Each one comes with a 12 month unlimited warranty that can be extended. Suzuki offers the best warranty of any motorcycle manufacturer with unlimited miles, no deductible, reimbursement costs if the motorcycle breaks down, rental vehicle reimbursement, and the remainder of the warranty is transferable should you decide to sell your motorcycle during the warranty time frame.
Today, Suzuki is in the top four motorcycle manufacturer’s world wide. They offer a wide variety of street, off road, and racing motorcycles to choose from. You can find Suzuki motorcycles at more than 1,600 dealerships around the world. They are well known for offering style, comfort, and speed with hundreds of different models to choose from. They are also among the top sellers because the models are very attractive, the price is very reasonable, and they stand behind their products by offering an excellent warranty.
Know About Your Car Payment
As a car driver, whether you rent or mortgage, you have to pay for bills every month. For many people those are the biggest expenses in their lives. People should figure out how much money spent on a car is suitable and worthwhile for themselves. Even if they are not good at math, taking effort and work, they can get rid of a car payment as possible as they wish. And then they can make some strategies to make sure they can get the lowest lease payment.
Some websites are set to help people calculate their car payment. Find one of those kinds of websites and log in it. The calculator will tell you how much you can afford to spend on a car. If you already have an idea about the amount of money you can afford, just go with that amount. A down payment is important, depending on the price of the car you purchase. Make sure you are able to afford a down payment, causing it can help your payments lower. The terms and the interest rate of the loan must be taken seriously. If you economic situation is not so well, I suggest you choose a longer term. Meanwhile decent credit record can help you get a loan at lower rate.
When you contact with dealers, you should keep flexible in your choice of car. If you have flexibility, you have a much better bargaining position with new car dealers. Try to have a “take it or leave it” attitude when dealing with salespeople. You’ll be surprised how much they can come down after “going to talk with their manager”. Talk with the sales manager and ask him refer an experienced person to you, who knows how to take care of his clients. Most of the time, when leasing, the payment goes down if you lease the car for a longer period of time. A car I just leased, however, had a lower payment for 33 month instead of 36 or 48 months. Make sure you get all of the options from your salesperson so that you can make an informed decision.
If you want to save a lot of money, it’s suggested that leasing a demonstration car which the dealer has. I used to work at a car dealership and I find demonstration cars available. So this is a good option.
Cheap Rental Cars – What People Like About Cheap Rental Cars
Any car that is used to transport goods or persons can be considered a rental car even if it is only for a small time period. Lots of cheap rental cars are around based upon the specifications by the renter. Many options are available for cars for business or pleasure.
Cheap rental cars such as; luxury cars, economy cars, premium cars, mini vans, SUV’s, and trucks are all available in the wide range of possibilities. Each car is different from one another and has comparable features. Just imagine as if you were shopping for a car but you are only going to have it for a few days or a week.
There are many cheap rental cars available all over the country. There are two separate categories of rates, basic rates and inclusive rates. Basic rates are based upon a person’s credit and used for covering an insurance policy. Inclusive rates on the other hand offer insurance to the individual who is renting the vehicle. The companies that have cheap car rentals have many laws and conditions which must be followed before the car can be provided in most cases.
I would suggest that if you are going to get a cheap rental car from an agency you would want to look into the economy feature. The cars of this caliber are cheaper with good gas mileage and can be the best option if you are going to be shopping for price. The best thing I can recommend is to look for a Honda, generally a civic is going to be the best option but you can go with anything you choose of course.
Obviously you are going to need a credit card and a drivers license to get cheap rental cars but if you don’t have one, most agencies won’t have a problem with you having a friend or loved one to get the car for you as long as they are going to drive or accompany you to your destination. If they are not going to be with you then you may have an issue with them on that front. It is also a well known truth that agencies in the US will not rent to people unless they are at least twenty five years old as well.
You must also remember that when you go out and get cheap rental cars there are also taxes applied by the agency. The tax should not be too much but it is enough to add up to fifty dollars to your end result. Bear in mind that all states have this fee and it is nothing special just for your car. Getting a rental car does not have to be a burden and can be a fun experience if you are willing to enjoy yourself! Get out for the weekend and have a great time. I would suggest that you and your friends all get cheap rental cars and get out there. Happy Driving!
Learn About Automotive Inspection and Maintenance to Minimize Car Repair
It is vital for any automotive owner to learn about automotive inspection and maintenance in order to minimize the need for frequent car repair and prolong the life of the vehicle. Car repair can be very expensive, especially when one talks about engine, brakes and transmission system repair. Even auto AC repair costs can add up if done frequently. To avoid such expenses, you will need to have a reliable mechanic from an auto service in Tampa that is an expert in diagnostics and car repair. Do not wait until you will need to call for towing services of tow trucks while you are on the road.
First of all, an automotive owner should be very familiar with the owner’s manual of the vehicle. This is the basic reference for automotive maintenance procedures and schedules according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Your auto service mechanic should comply with the instructions in your owner’s manual. If your vehicle is quite old, though, you can expect your auto service mechanic to recommend even more stringent maintenance procedures.
You yourself can do your own diagnostic checks on your vehicle day by day. This is very important in order to catch early symptoms of automotive problems. Early detection can mean less expensive car repair.
You should regularly check the garage floor or parking slot beneath your vehicle for wet spots or puddles of liquid. If the liquid is clear, you need not worry. This is just probably water that came from the condensation of your vehicle’s air conditioning system. Colored liquids may be danger signs, though, as they could mean serious leaks in your system. An overheated engine or leaking anti-freeze can produce yellow green, orange or blue liquid. Oily liquids that are red, black or dark brown could indicate that your transmission system is leaking transmission fluid. This means you should immediate contact your Tampa auto service mechanic.
You should also use your sense of smell in checking your vehicle. Certain odors should immediately alert you to a possible problem. Never ignore these danger signs.
You should always take a quick sniff of your transmission fluid whenever you check it. If you detect a burnt smell this means that your transmission system may soon fail you in the middle of the road in Tampa. Your automotive oil should not smell acrid. If you get a whiff of a a sharp smell that is similar to burnt toast, it could mean that you have an electrical short and burning insulation.
Keep your sense of smell keen even while driving. You will notice a chemical-like smell similar to burning resin when your clutch or brakes overheat. You have to immediately pull over and wait for your clutch or brakes to cool down. If you see any sign of smoke, do not under any circumstances start your vehicle.
You will smell a sweet and steamy odor if your coolant is leaking. This means your vehicle will soon overheat. Again, you should pull over at once and remedy the situation. If the odor from your car hood is more metallic, this can be even more dangerous.
The smell of gasoline means your fuel system is leaking. A sulphuric smell similar to rotten eggs means there is a problem in your emission control devices.
Another thing you should keenly observe is your vehicle’s response to your handling. Watch out for any unusual sounds, vibrations, jerks, scraping or grinding. Any of these should immediately be reported to your auto service mechanic.
The automotive owner who knows much about automotive inspection and maintenance will always have a distinct advantage. You will have an edge in keeping your vehicle in top shape longer and in working in cooperation with your mechanic and auto service to make the most of diagnostic services and car repair.
What Every Motorcycle Owner Needs To Know About Motorcycle Tires
Tires are a very important part of a motorcycle. Without them the motorcycle would not be able to move in the first place. This is why it is very important that every motorcycle owner possesses general knowledge about what they can expect from the tires they plan on using from their vehicle. Choosing the wrong type of tire could adversely affect how the motorcycle drives. It may even cost a motorcycle owner more money, trying to repair flats or replace the tire all together. That’s where this article comes in. From this article motorcycle owners can get a basic overview of what they need to look for when they start investigating which tires are right for their vehicle. All of these guidelines are explained in greater detail below.
Size
To determine the size of a potential set of tires, you need to evaluate their rim width. What does this mean? It means that the tires cannot be any wider or narrower than the initial equipment tires. If they are the handling of your motorcycle could get distorted.
Pressure
The pressure associated with motorcycle tires increases as the temperature rises. This is why motorcycle riders need to regularly check their tires’ pressure, especially during the winter months. They can find specific recommendations on which tire pressures are best for their vehicle by checking out their motorcycle manufacturer’s reference manual. They can also further protect their tires’ pressure by not bleeding air from tires that are hot and/or riding on the tires when they are under-inflated. Doing otherwise wears the tires down prematurely.
Wear Indicator
Motorcycle owners need to periodically check the wear indicator associated with their tire grooves. If the wear indicators are at the same level as the tread’s surface, the tires probably need to be replaced.
Valve Caps
Proper use of valve caps can prevent air from escaping from one’s motorcycle tires. It can also prevent dirt from getting into the valve, improving overall efficiency of the tires.
Warming Up
Start at a moderate speed when you first get on your motorcycle. Doing so helps allow the tires to reach their core operating temperatures in a much smoother manner. When the tires do reach their warm-up, they will offer the best grip for the motorcycle rider.
Breaking In
Don’t accelerate rapidly or use hard cornering techniques once your tires have appropriately warmed up, as this can quickly wear them out. You will want to avoid doing these things for at least 50 kilometers. This is the amount of time/distance it takes for the tread area to be completely worn off.
Getting the Repairs
It is important that you acquire basic knowledge associated with motorcycle repair, so you won’t have to rely on a mechanic should you have problems with your tires or even the vehicle itself. Numerous books and e-books are available to help provide the basics for motorcycle riders who are new to the experience. Some of them are free. Either way, take advantage of the information so you won’t find yourself being stranded if something does go wrong with your motorcycle’s tires.
The Truth About Atvs
An all-terrain vehicle which is most popularly known as ATV was primarily developed in Japan. The main function of this vehicle is to trek isolated and mountainous areas. In Japan, during spring thaws and rainy seasons, most of its steep roads are not anymore accessible by conventional vehicles; thus the ATV was designed to address this concern.
There are two famous designs of the ATV which consist of the three wheelers and the four wheelers. Between the two, the three wheeler ATV is found to be a better mode of transportation, most especially in areas which are impassable by other types of vehicles. The Japanese found the ATV’s so effective in mountainous roads and rough terrains that they decided on selling these vehicles to the Americans and to other market as well.
Unlike Japan, the United States initially used the ATV’s as recreational vehicles in the 1970′s. The ATV’s in the United States were taken as vehicles that provide thrill rides and great for adventures. In fact, nothing has changed over the years, because these vehicles are still used as recreational vehicles today.
However, aside from being used in recreational sports, the ATV is used as a hunting vehicle because this can tread grounds that are not accessible by pick-ups, four wheel drives, and other motorized vehicles. Thus, all-terrain vehicles are also used mainly in hunting, specifically in remote areas.
There are many manufacturers of ATV’s, but some of the most popular are those manufactured by Honda Motors. Honda is one of the leading automobile manufacturers in Japan, and is one of a number of car makers which embraced the idea of manufacturing a whole line of ATV’s. The main target of Honda’s ATV is the United States market. In fact, the first of its all-terrain vehicles, the Honda’s US 90 was basically designed for off-road recreation.
However, as more and more models of Honda ATV’s came out in the market, its purpose is not only limited to recreation, but to other functions as well. Eventually, as the family of Honda ATV’s grew, its function and usefulness also grew.
Today, there are many versions and models of ATV’s in the market. Each manufacturer has its own version and features that makes one unique from the other. Moreover, competitive all-terrain vehicles emerged in the market as well. One of these is the Rock Liner ATV’s which are famous for its quad design. Other popular ATV’s include Alpha Sports, Argo, Bombardier, Arctic Cat, Eton, Suzuki, and Yamaha among others. Each of these offers unique features that are specific to special needs and criteria. Thus, if you are looking for an ATV, it is important to list down the top considerations in order for you to decide on the most appropriate ATV that suits your needs.
Just What is So Compelling About Riding a Motorcycle?
Sometimes people may wonder what it is about riding a motorcycle that makes it so compelling. Some people wonder why anyone would want to take the risk of getting on a fast two-wheeled vehicle and apparently putting their well-being in jeopardy. The fact is, riding a motorcycle may simply be the most thrilling experience you can ever undergo, aside from perhaps piloting a fighter aircraft (which normal people will never get to experience). And it’s not as dangerous as some people might think– as long as it’s approached from a mature, informed mindset! More than anything, it’s most important to take on the task of learning to ride a motorcycle with a cautious approach.

Also, the diversity in age among students is very apparent, and a startlingly increasing number of women are learning to ride motorcycles these days. When queried, most of these women say they’re tired of riding on the back of a motorcycle as a passenger, and now want to take control. Good for them! It’s now well accepted that women can ride motorcycles as well as men, and perhaps even more safely, since they lack the testosterone-infused, ego-driven personalities of many “macho” males.
The course itself usually consists of a day or two of classroom training, which covers riding basics and motorcycle control layout. This classroom portion may consist of video watching and workbook exercises as well. Next, the fun part begins. A day of two of actual riding on an enclosed lot finishes up the training. For those of you have never ridden a motorcycle before, this part of the training is an absolute blast. You’ll usually be provided all necessary equipment such as a helmet and gloves, and of course the actual motorcycle, and friendly and knowledgeable instructors will teach you firsthand how to start, operate and ride your first motorcycle.
